In the debut episode, we meet Andy, a senior instructional technology support specialist. Andy is part of the e-learning unit, which is responsible for everything related to lecture capture, video conferencing, and instructional technology here on campus.

Originally from Ohio, Andy moved to Las Vegas to enjoy the sunshine with his wife and cat. Instructional technology specialist by day, and avid golf and DJ extraordinaire in his free time, Andy uses his educational background to tune into the needs of the campus community.

Over the past few years, Andy has helped hundreds of faculty members and students with their educational technology needs. He has taken their skills to the next level and made education more accessible and flexible through the use of technology and training. Andy is proud of his role in the RebelFlex program, which has changed the way education is delivered and has become a standard across the university. Rebelflex supports hybrid class formats with technology for both in-person and remote teaching and learning. This program has transitioned into RebelFlex classrooms, which continues to be requested by more departments across campus.

He believes that students are the heartbeat of this university, which is why he is so passionate about providing services that were once seen as a luxury that keeps UNLV competitive with the growing expectations of higher ed.
