IT Help Desk, Online Education Assist New Faculty With Technology at Resource Fair
Announcement Body
UNLV is making it easier for new academic and administrative faculty to get help with campus technology. The IT Help Desk is doing a popup at the resource fair on Aug. 17 in the Richard Tam Alumni Center as part of new faculty orientation.
Between 3:50 p.m. and 5 p.m., new faculty can visit the IT Help Desk table to get help with WebCampus course content and assignment issues, access to MyUNLV, setting up multifactor authentication, connecting devices to the eduroam WiFi network, and other IT services.
Instructional technologists from the office of online education will also be on hand to answer instructor questions about teaching and learning and designing courses.
New faculty can get their photo taken for their RebelCard at the resource fair when they present their government issued ID and NSHE ID that can be found in Workday. Their RebelCard will be available to pick up from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Richard Tam Alumni Center lobby.
Faculty unable to attend the resource fair can get technology support by contacting the IT Help Desk. They can get their RebelCard at the “Save Time, Skip the Line” event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed 11 a.m. to noon) Aug. 25 and Aug. 28 to Aug. 31 in the Student Union Green Room on the first floor. Faculty may drop into the Faculty Center to get expert help with Zoom, WebCampus, and Panopto from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21 or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 24 in BEH 235.
For more information about campus IT resources, visit the new academic faculty and new administrative faculty webpages on the UNLV IT site.
