Employees from the office of information technology attended Alliance 2023 from Feb. 26 through March 1 in St. Louis, Mo. The conference is hosted by the Higher Education User Group (HEUG) as a way for higher education and public professionals to come together to learn about different products and platforms.

Jill Theroux, information security analyst from the information security team, shared how UNLV created its own row-level security management model to save time and create an audit trail when administering row-level security. Her presentation was one of the 300 sessions available to conference attendees.

From the digital strategy & transformation team, Raven Sumner, senior system analyst, and Sam Moloche Garcia, business systems analyst, functional architect, were elected to different HEUG advisory groups. Sumner is a member of the student financial support advisory group and Garcia is on the campus academic and records support advisory group.

Sumner and Garcia join Dan Labrecque who were recognized at the conference as newly elected advisory group members. Lebrecque is now a part of the HEUG Board of Directors and was inducted to the HEUG Hall of Fame this year.

Congratulations to Jill, Raven, Sam, and Dan on their contributions to the conference and higher education technology industry.
