Admin Faculty, Classified Staff: Starting June 3, Okta Verify Needed to Log Into UNLV Applications

Administrative faculty and classified staff who need to log into their university email, Workday, or any campus applications with their ACE account will need to use Okta Verify for multifactor authentication (MFA) starting June 3.

Switch to Okta Verify now with these easy enrollment steps. Students and academic faculty can move to Okta Verify before it’s rolled out to them in the fall. If Okta Verify isn’t the best option, contact the IT Help Desk for another secure MFA option.

This change makes the MFA experience faster and more secure for administrative faculty and classified staff. It also comes as SMS text messaging will no longer be available as an MFA option because it’s less secure.

For more information about this project, check out the ACE Account Increased MFA Security Initiative page on the UNLV IT site.
