As the fall semester winds down, the End-of-Semester Checklist for Instructors can help you simplify grade submission and get your course ready for next term. Here are a few extra tips from the IT team to help you support your students and close out the semester with ease.
- Before finals, review your quiz settings in WebCampus. Check time limits, availability dates, allowed attempts, and consider shuffling questions and answers to support academic integrity. For extra security, use access codes for in-person exams or enable Respondus LockDown Browser.
- Close old Panopto assignment folders so students upload to the correct course folder and no longer access ones from previous semesters.
- Make sure you have access to MyUNLV by completing FERPA training. MyUNLV grade rosters. are available the first day of finals week for regular courses. For modular courses, they are available the last day of the course.
- Before final grades, ensure your WebCampus grading scheme matches your syllabus. Verify letter grade cutoffs are correct, group assignments are weighted properly, and the total column is accurate to help prevent grade disputes and ensure final grades feed into MyUNLV if you use the grade integration.
- Instead of entering grades manually, directly transfer final course grades from WebCampus to MyUNLV when you’re ready to submit. Set up courses with the grade integration.
- When reusing content, ensure all digital materials (e.g., syllabi, videos, documents, etc.) meet ADA accessibility standards. For help, view UNLV’s Digital Accessibility Tips & Tricks or contact the Office of Accessibility Resources.
For help with WebCampus and Panopto, book a WebCampus or Panopto consultation or visit the Get Help page on the UNLV IT site. Please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance with Respondus, ACE login, WiFi, and other campus technology.
