RebelApps Allows Students to Access Computer Lab Software Remotely

Listen to this announcement

Accessing essential software for coursework is now easier for students learning remotely.

RebelApps, a new virtual computer labs service, allows students to remotely access over 30 software titles available in UNLV computer labs at no cost - anytime, anywhere.

Students need a PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, or Chromebook device and a reliable internet connection to virtually log in to a desktop in a campus computer lab (using their ACE login, of course).

RebelApps features some of the most often used software, including ArcGis, MATLAB, SAS, Solidworks, and SPSS.

The service is in the final testing stage, which means RebelApps will change throughout the process.

Students are encouraged to use RebelApps and provide feedback during this phase. The information that is collected (via suggestion box on the virtual desktop) will be used to improve the service.

Visit the RebelApps webpage to learn more about how to remotely access computer lab software.
