RebelCard Upgrading System May 14, Adding More Convenient Features

Students, faculty, and staff can enjoy the convenience of tap-and-pay with their RebelCard soon.

Before this feature is made available on all cards, the RebelCard system is being upgraded to Atrium starting at 6 a.m. on May 14. The move is the first step to improving the card’s chip technology and offering more features for an even better RebelCard experience.

RebelCard Transactions Unavailable May 13-14
Between 9 p.m. May 13 and 10 a.m. May 14, people won’t be able to add RebelCash and review their account balances online or pay with their RebelCard while teams prepare for the RebelCard system upgrade.

Come the fall semester, cardholders can use fast one-tap payments where RebelCard is accepted and easily check into campus events with their campus card. The system upgrade also prepares for the rollout of mobile ID cards at a later date.

What to Expect During the Summer
In the meantime, here’s what people can do until the expanded features are released:

  • Swipe your card for purchases wherever RebelCard is accepted.
  • Go to the RebelCard site to add money online or visit the RebelCard Office or Lied Library to deposit cash while new RebelCash Deposit Machines are being installed.
  • You can still use your RebelCard to access buildings if that feature was already on your card.

For more information, to add money online, or get updates on this service migration project, please visit the RebelCard site.
