WebCampus Mobile App Will Now Timeout After 72 Hours

To enhance security and better protect accounts, WebCampus mobile apps (Canvas Student and Canvas Teacher) will now automatically log out after 72 hours, even if you are actively using the app.

Why This Change?

This update helps safeguard accounts from unauthorized access, especially in cases where:

  • A device is lost or stolen
  • A device is shared between multiple people
  • A public or shared device is used for login

Tips for a Smooth Login Experience

We understand that logging in more often may be an extra step, so here are some ways to make the process faster and easier:

  • Set up multiple multifactor authentication (MFA) methods to quickly log in using the most convenient option.
  • Use the QR Code Login from your computer to skip manually entering your ACE credentials and MFA.
  • For the best experience, use WebCampus on a computer, which offers more features and remains logged in longer.

While your personal risk may seem low, these security measures help protect everyone. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping WebCampus accounts secure.
