Start or Join a Video Meeting in Gmail

Google Meet is now available in Gmail, which means you can start and join video meetings right from your inbox, allowing you to seamlessly switch between email and video meetings.

You can also hide the Google Meet in Gmail features. To hide the Google Meet interface:

1. Click the Gear icon and then See all settings.
2. At the top, click Chat and Meet.
3. In the "Meet" section, select “Hide the Meet section ...”
4. Click Save Changes at the bottom.

Start a Video Meeting Anywhere with Mobile Device Low-Light Mode

Google Meet will now automatically enhance your video to adapt to low light conditions on your Android or iOS devices. Video enhancements will begin five seconds after entering an area with low light. As your lighting conditions change, Meet will intelligently adapt to provide you with the best video quality.
