Computer Security Patching Will Occur Weekly on Tuesdays Beginning August 23

Beginning August 23, university-managed computers will now receive critical system patches every Tuesday in order to provide a more secure computing environment. Previously, patches were only conducted every third Tuesday of the month.

In order to avoid losing work, we recommend saving your work and logging off your computer at the end of your workday in order for patches to be installed when the computer is not in use.

Please note that the computer may reboot multiple times if there are multiple outstanding patches to be installed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve campus cybersecurity. If you have any questions or issues, please contact the IT Help Desk.
