Outsmart Phishing with Fun, Interactive Cybersecurity Awareness Training

The new Hoxhunt cybersecurity awareness training turns email safety into a fun, interactive learning experience that helps all UNLV employees build skills in spotting real-world cyberthreats.

How it works

  • As employees, you’ll occasionally get simulated phishing emails.
  • Think something looks suspicious? Use the “Hoxhunt Report” button to report them.
  • Get instant tips and earn points in a friendly competition with colleagues.
  • Don’t worry if you miss one. That’s part of how you learn.

What’s next

  • Hoxhunt Report” button: In the coming weeks, this button will automatically appear in UNLVMail accounts. Once it's available, locate the "Hoxhunt Report" button.
  • Personalized communications: Employees will get messages with instructions on how to get started with Hoxhunt, including their first simulated phishing attempt.
  • Required annual training: Faculty and staff will continue with this yearly requirement. Student workers also need to complete this annual cybersecurity awareness training in REBELearn.

The goal is to help you develop safe habits in a supportive way. Everyone here plays a role in keeping UNLV secure, and with Hoxhunt’s help, this is a great way to sharpen those instincts.
