How to Get Software

Use at Work

Faculty and staff may purchase an ArcGIS license from the IT Help Desk for their university-barcoded machine. Users granted an FS license will have the option to select if they would like a license for ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro.

Instructors teaching a course using ArcGIS may request a free classroom license from the IT Help Desk. Classroom licenses are valid for one semester. Courses approved for a classroom license will be given access to ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Online will allow the instructor and all registered students for the course to access ArcGIS through the web or install ArcGIS Pro on a personal device while their ArcGIS Online access is active.

Use at Home

Faculty and staff who have purchased an ArcGIS Pro license for their university-barcoded machine will also be given access to ArcGIS Online at no additional cost. ArcGIS Online will allow users to access ArcGIS through the web or install ArcGIS Pro on a personal device while their ArcGIS Online access is active.

Faculty and staff who have purchased an ArcGIS Desktop license for their university-barcoded machine may request a free upgrade to ArcGIS Pro from the IT Help Desk to qualify for ArcGIS Online benefits. To request a free upgrade to ArcGIS Pro, please contact the IT Help Desk.
