How to Get Software

Use at Work

Faculty and staff can purchase ArcGIS to install on a university-barcoded machine. To request a license, please complete the OIT Software Request form.

Instructors teaching a course using ArcGIS can request a free classroom license to use for one semester. The classroom license will grant ArcGIS Online access to the instructor and every student registered for the course. To request a classroom license, please complete the OIT Software Request form.

Use at Home

Faculty and staff who have purchased an ArcGIS license for a university-barcoded machine may request access to ArcGIS Online at no additional cost. ArcGIS Online will allow users to access ArcGIS through the web or install ArcGIS Pro on a personal device. To request access to ArcGIS Online, please contact the IT Help Desk.

Use at Home

Students can request a license from the IT Help Desk. Student licenses are valid for one semester. They may be extended to cover the year the license is requested if ArcGIS will be used to support a student's academic studies such as to complete a thesis or research project.
