What to Expect After Transition

  • Log into core applications with your ACE account.
  • Desktop and online versions will be available.
  • Check files within 60 days after the transition to confirm files transferred without issues.

Microsoft Teams Client

What to Expect After Transition

  • Log into Microsoft Teams Client with your ACE account.
  • Still attend Teams meetings hosted by other institutions as a guest.
  • Meeting invites from other institutions sent prior to the transition do not need to be reissued.

No Impact

  • To host meetings, use UNLV-supported video conferencing (Zoom and/or Google Meet).
  • Get optimal functionality when connecting to institutions that schedule Teams meetings.
  • Teams Messaging configured by the hosting institution using your UNLV email will continue to work with your ACE account.

Sharepoint

The IT Help Desk can help you download your data to Google Drive before the transition. Be sure to share the drive with collaborators and your teams. Data saved in Google Drive can be shared outside UNLV even if users do not have Google. If Google is not the best option for you, contact the IT Help Desk to discuss other storage alternatives.

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching

Azure Dev Tools will continue to be available to faculty instructing students in the use of Microsoft applications. These are developmental sandbox environments and should be configured to use the correct storage.

Other Fee Based Applications

UNLV will continue to offer purchased specialized Microsoft applications for grant-funded research and special university projects at institutionally negotiated educational pricing for approved projects. Some changes may be required. Impacted users will be contacted.
