UNLV is bringing Slack Enterprise Grid to all students, faculty, and staff. With Enterprise Grid, we will have a secure platform, integrated with our ACE account, that enables an expansive library of integrated applications, including Canvas, Google, Zoom, Salesforce, and other approved applications.

What to Expect
Existing Workspaces: Paid or free Slack workspaces can migrate to the new Enterprise Grid.
- If you’re a workspace member: Ask your workspace admin about migration plans.
- If you’re a workspace admin and haven’t heard from UNLV IT: Please submit a migration request ticket.
- New Workspaces: Soon you’ll be able to request new workspaces.
What You Need to Do
- If you are a member of an existing workspace, watch for messages from your workspace manager on when your space will be migrated.

Existing Employee Workspaces
Yes! Please submit an IT support ticket.
- Your workspace will be unavailable for a short time. We will work with workspace owners to schedule migrations to minimize any disruptions.
- Members will get a heads-up before migration begins.
- You’ll be notified by email and Slackbot once it’s done.
No, everything will move with you. Messages, including direct messages, will be securely stored in perpetuity.
They’ll be offline during migration but will work normally once complete.
Yes, workflows and most apps will carry over without issue.
