No coding or AI experience is required. Activities include optional challenge levels so both beginners and advanced learners can participate.

Students should bring a refillable water bottle and comfortable clothing for a classroom/lab environment. Technology and lab resources will be provided unless otherwise noted.

The UNLV AI Explorers Camp is coordinated by UNLV’s IT team, the department that supports campus technology and digital learning. Camp sessions are led by our IT staff and student leaders, creating a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, experiment with new tools, and collaborate with peers. In addition to learning about AI, participants gain exposure to a university campus and explore how technology skills connect to future college and career opportunities.

Students will be supervised by IT staff and student leaders at all times. The program follows UNLV youth program expectations, including required forms and staff compliance with minor protection policies.

Students do not need prior experience with AI or coding. The camp is designed for beginners, with optional challenge levels for students who want to level up their skills.

A core focus of the camp is ethical AI use and academic integrity. Students will learn how to use AI tools responsibly while still building real-life skills.

Daily lunch is provided through UNLV Dining Commons. More details will be shared with registered participants.
