Microsoft Intune Device Management For Work & Learning Anywhere

Microsoft Intune Device Management For Work & Learning Anywhere

Overview

People now work and learn from anywhere, not just on campus. To better support this, UNLV’s moving to Microsoft Intune, a modern, cloud-based system for managing university devices (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android). This upgrade makes devices more secure, easier to use, and faster to update no matter where they’re used, with little to no action required from you.

What’s Improving

Better user experience

Logging in and accessing university resources will be simpler, with fewer interruptions and better performance.

Faster setup for new devices

New devices can be ready to use right away with little to no manual setup by you or the IT team.

Better for research

Devices connect more smoothly with Microsoft 365 and Azure services, making it easier to support research, large projects, and growing department needs.

Stronger security

Improved protections help keep your device and university data safe, with faster response to potential issues.

Easier device management

Devices are managed in one place, so updates and fixes happen faster behind the scenes.

Are You Impacted

Most users (not impacted right now)

Most students, faculty, and staff are not impacted at this stage. No action is required.
