In 2014, OIT began working with departments to replace the existing Novell file system, a product which was no longer supported, with OIT File Services.

The current OIT File Services system provides a better user experience and a number of new features, updating UNLV’s file sharing services to modern standards and industry practices. The software is now better able to adapt with the changing needs of the university and makes great improvements in how we share information on campus.
